今日花火大会に行こう~!!

Today is the day of the Sumidagawa Fireworks Festival!!

And so many girls in pretty yukatas with pretty hair and makeup~

I didn't have time to do my hair and makeup unfortunately...

But at least I had pretty toes!!

We got hungry while waiting for the fireworks to start~
So we queued for shaved ice and fried mochi dipped in shoyu!!

They also sold deep fried sweet potato sticks!!

When it ended we bought caramel apples~

It was quite tough to eat but...うまい!!

On the way back...
It was even more crowded than before.
Luckily we lived in the area and didn't need to take the metro or else...
I shudder to think how long we would need to wait before managing to get onto the trains.

However I didn't end up buying alot of things because I was moving out the next day

and it would be extremely heavy to lug my already oversized and overweight luggage all the way to the other end of Tokyo.

Seriously everything in Japan is cute.
Even lockers have to be cute.
Look at this pink bunny one.

I also bought a caramel custard dessert from the Shiseido Parlour.

[Yes, it's the same company as the skincare/haircare Shiseido.]
The idea for the restaurant started out when the owner decided to add a soda fountain in
his pharmacy and this later developed into the parlour we see today.

Apparently they were also the first to introduce ice-cream to Japan.
