I knew I wanted to cook お好み焼き today but realised I didn't have 鰹節 or お好み焼きソース.

So I figured I had to make do with that I had to satisfy the sudden craving.

Ingredients Used
Sliced Ham
Diced Mushrooms
Okonomiyaki Seasoning
Now to start assembling the batter!!
^_^

First I broke 2 eggs and added the Okonomiyaki seasoning.

Then in goes all the other ingredients!!
Pork slices, ham, mushrooms, cheese, cabbage and flour.

Then I fried the Yakisoba.
The reason why I did this is because I didn't have a big enough pan to hold both the noodles and Okonomiyaki together in one go.
>.<"

Finally the batter goes into the pan!!

Managed to make a perfectly round shape!! *^_^*
And finally I served it on my favourite Mickey Mouse plate~
Topped with seaweed sprinkles and mayonnaise.

It tasted good but it would definitely have been better with the sauce!!

And so ends my first attempt at making one of my favourite Japanese food!!
^_^b

My Beloved Teddy Bear Shoes
Would have been great if I could wear them to Japan in January but...
It seems like I won't have the chance to do so.
Thinking about it makes my heart ache...

Tokyo Sky Tree

Even though I never really had the urge to visit Sky Tree, I knew it would be foolish not to do so while I'm in Tokyo.
So when 3 of my classmates suggested hanging out there to pass time while waiting to go off to their respective appointments after that, I took the opportunity to tag along.

View of Sky Tree in the early evening.
Our first stop was the Studio Ghibli shop which houses....

TOTORO!!!

[OK I don't actually love Totoro that much but took alot of pictures anyways.]
(~O~)

Totoro at the front of the store.
Totoro wants a hug~!!
I also saw two really sophisticated-looking figurines and wanted to take them home with me.
Sadly my suitcase was already packed full of new clothes bought in Shibuya 109 and had no space for them.
I'm definitely buying them in January!!

Totoro Cooling Fan
Also took a candid photo of my classmate.
Don't think he'll ever see this picture though so it's fine to post it up, right??

*Grins*
DUCKIESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

Have to apologise for my lack of knowledge of Studio Ghibli character names.
Here's a picture of a smiling Panda.
I'm pretty sure his name is not Panda though.

Panda says "Hug Me Mama/Papa!!"
And then there's a giant grinning cat on top of the shelves.

After goggling at all the Totoros we made our way into Sky Tree for some window shopping and came across a store selling vintage Japanese toys.

Mickey! Minnie! Donald! They're everywhere!!
More Donald Duck figures.
I have a feeling that Donald is actually more popular in Japan as compared to Mickey.
Even in DisneySea, I saw so many people wearing or carrying Donald goods and hardly any wearing Mickey ones.
Hmmm....I wonder why......

Nostalgic Disney Parade
Below are pictures of vintage confectionery.

Yes, I know, you can see me taking the picture. ε〜(;@_@)

Next to the vintage toy store was a store selling fake food samples.
They're a big hit in Japan and all restaurants have samples of their food made and displayed in front of their store.
It dosen't come cheap though, and a measly key chain like the one below can cost up to 2000円!!

Panda Biscuit Key Chain
This is called the Surprising Short Cake. No joke.
Fruit Cupcakes
They even have burgers!!
Mochi Panda
More Panda confectioneries!!

I've always wanted to enter Cecil McBee before going to Tokyo.
Sadly even though I saw some really really uber cute dresses, I couldn't fit in them.
More accurately, they wouldn't even go past my thighs.
Being a size 10 in UK sadly means you're probably an XXL in Japan or something.
Oh well, there's always Liz Lisa.
I can surprisingly fit into most things they sell.

Continuing on...
We walked past a ガーリー過ぎのカフェ.
The name Samantha Thavasa is everywhere!
Must be something famous or a famous person though I have no idea what or who it is.
[I know I could Google but I have no interest in finding out either.]

I love the fact how Japanese salesgirls/guys are always so polite and friendly and they seem genuinely happy to serve you.
They would also never look down at you even if you left the shop empty-handed.
Wouldn't say the same for Malaysia however.
Malaysian salespeople treat you as if you're a filthy low-life scum  who owes them tons of money and if you don't buy anything you're a cheapskate who doesn't deserve to live on this planet.
And the words 'Please' and 'Thank You' are like gold to them.
You'll never hear them saying it.

Heart shaped rusks only sold in Tokyo Solamachi (The name of the shopping mall in Sky Tree)
Dine-In Menu
Eclairs galore!!
(○●^▽^●○)./

Amy Bear Caramel Eclair

The eclairs cost a bomb and sadly didn't taste as good as they looked which was horribly unfortunate.
I was lucky I didn't get more of them because my classmates stopped me.
 ̄Д ̄

Two of my classmates went home early and there was me and 正陽 left.
We didn't want to leave too early as we saw this!!

It's a healing planetarium!!
We bought tickets and proceeded to dinner while waiting for the show to start.

Tickets!! Yahoo!!
This was the first time I had proper Okonomiyaki in Japan.
It doesn't look much but its

After dinner we headed to the planetarium.
I tried to sneak some shots of the interior but it got too dark and so I put my phone away.
It is supposed to be a healing and relaxing place after all!!

The entire experience lasted about an hour or so and was entirely in Japanese but we did understand 80% of it!!
The screens turned into a forest and the screen told us that the scent today was Lavender (if I'm not mistaken).
We looked at each other at first, wondering where the smell was.
Then after a few minutes, the whole room smelled of soothing Lavender!!
And while looking at the stars and constellations in the sky (screen), we both fell asleep.
Haha~ Just goes to prove that the experience was indeed soothing and worth every penny!!

To sum the whole day up,
here's the view of Sky Tree late at night!!
